My name is Kelly Rowland and I am raising money to help my friend Matt Robinson.
Matt was born in 1965 in Riverton, Wyoming. His family moved to Colorado when he was 8 years old. He enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his family.
I met Matt just this year and instantly knew that I had a friend for life. Everyone who has ever met Matt will tell you no less. He is a kind hearted soul who would take the shirt off his back to keep a stranger warm. He is a genuinely happy person who loves to joke. Not a day goes by that he doesn’t pass my office with a new joke to tell. He is a true God send to us all.
Unfortunately, life has hit Matt with not one but two tons of bricks this year. In June, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. After chemo and surgery, doctors were able to remove most of the cancerous cells. However, while on a short break before his 2nd round of radiation, Matt had a grand mal seizure. During a CAT-Scan, doctors found a brain tumor. He was sent to University Hospital in Denver, CO where a biopsy was done to reveal that it is an inoperable tumor. Doctors have set a plan of chemo and radiation, first to attack the tumor then back to the colon cancer.
While Matt enjoys the mountains, he has to make several trips down to Denver with his wife Kendra in order to make doctor and hospital appointments. For extended trips they must get a hotel room in Denver for days at a time. Both Kendra and Matt are still working during all this. To make matters worse, Matt did receive assistance from Aflac, however, the check was stolen and it could take months to years to legally recover that money.
I am asking for whoever can, please help. From a dime to a dollar every cent counts. We will be using the money to help pay down some of his Medical expenses, and it will go directly to his continuing care.
