=Looking for funding for Jan/Feb. 2015 in Florida =
I have recently relocated to the eastern end of Long Island from Utah. I was born and raised here and now I've come home. I am a USDF Bronze, Silver, Gold Medalist as well as "L" Gratuate.
I had a very successful dressage training business in Utah and am starting over here in New York. My committment has always been to education and correct basics. I believe that when you get too comfortable, it's time to take a risk. It was time for me to make a move to pursue my riding goals and risk, step outside my comfort and see how far I can go.
I currently have 2 horses. Gryphon Z a 12 year old Freisain X and Lexus a 21 year old Dutch Warmblood. I have had Gryph since he was 3 years old and have brought him up the levels and competed him through PSG. We have won 2 regional championships and been quite successful. Lexus was leased to me indefinitely when he was 17. He had a very successful career through GP. I competed him I-1 and GP until last year. He is now giving riders the outstanding opportunity to experience the upper level movements and what they are striving for in the future.
In the short term, I am looking for funding to help us go to Florida this January & February 2015. I will be training full time with Pam Goodrich and working to get Gryph more confirmed at PSG and the I-1. In hope of competing the 2015 show season in the short tour.
I will also be volunteering with the Dressage4Kids program during their Winter Intensive Program. Lexus will be volunteering his time and knowledge with the riders. This program is one that provides ongoing education to young dressage riders with a certain type of drive and commitment. These athletes will be in a very intensive program of riding instruction, horse care, physical fitness, theory and more. I am honored to be a part of the future of my sport!
My longer term goals are to have another horse to compete in the FEI levels. To gain experience in the CDI's and pursue my goals of riding internationally.
