Pride of Montrose - MHS Band

The MHS Band is an incredible program that is a source of pride for students, parents, teachers and employees of the Montrose school district. The hard work and dedication of the students is what makes this band so successful.

The band program teaches students discipline, work ethic, music, athletics, camaraderie and respect only to name a few. Their time as members of this high achieving organization provides leadership and performance opportunities that prepare them to be the kind of motivated leaders we need at a time when creative thought, work-ethic and commitment to a high standard of performance are critical for success in the work force. The MHS Band is highly respected and is building tomorrow's leaders.

Over the past 5 years the band has had a new director that has turned around the program and lead the marching band to break school records year after year.  This year being the first year they have bypassed the state quarterfinals and placed their highest in finals in the history of the program.

But now the band faces more challenges as many of their old instruments have really hit their end of life.  So we are hoping to start the process of replacement and repair (where possible) of these instruments, and we need your help.

The cost of such replacements is generally more than school districts prove for due to limited budgets, so we are asking for help from all that want to be a part of helping out a great group of kids that work real hard and are an asset to the community.     So we would like to start here, building a fund to replace instruments.  Every little bit helps. 

Your generous donations will help us start by replacing sousaphones, and depending on what we raise, will continue to help replace other instruments in order of need.
