Our Nepal Relief Volunteer Trip!

We are Sarah and Mia - a Mother & Daughter duo. We have committed to volunteer to help rebuild an orphanage with 108 Lives Project in Nepal and we need your help to make this commitment happen!
Nepal holds a very special place in my (Sarah's) heart as it is one of the first countries I went to as a volunteer when I was just 16-years-old. The experience changed me completely from the very core and developed a heart of compassion throughout my adult life. It broadened my understanding of life, people, spirituality, and culture. Nepal has been the cornerstone in shaping so much of what I am today - even to include my chosen craft - photography. Without any exaggeration at all, I have had Nepal on my mind and heart for more than 15 years.
Now as a mother, and with the opportunity to work with a charity that I firmly support and believe in, I have decided that this is an excellent opportunity to return to a country that I love so dearly with my own daughter to pass on the wisdom, compassion, and world-passion that is gained from giving without want of receiving.
We are joining a bit late, but with all our gumption, we have committed to joining in with the excellent 108Lives team to journey to Nepal on October 15th, 2016.
Our duties will include helping in the rebuilding of the devastated village of Phulping, helping to complete the school and community buildings, and assist in education programs in the orphanages & schools of Kathmandu.
As volunteers we are asked to cover our own costs for travel and accommodation. The estimated amount will cover both of our round-trip tickets from Australia to Nepal + food and accommodation for three weeks. Any excessive funds will be donated 100% to 108Lives project.

We are keen to make this dream of helping re-build Nepal a reality. We would be so very grateful for your help.
As a part of the trip, I will be photographing our experience on film and will most happily return your generosity with gifts of prints from our experience there.
