My name is Tammara Bradford and I have been diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This is a noncurable disease and I am in for the fight of my life.

While traveling in Cuba May 2016, I felt some soreness on my upper left chest. I thought it was a bruise from the backpacking we were doing; but when we came home there was a noticable lump that seemed more solid. I scheduled a Mammogram in June and it came back NEGATIVE!  Yet I still had that lump and needed to know what is was!

After getting the runaround for weeks and an inconclusive ultrasound, I was finally given a Core Biopsy with Fine Needle Aspiration(FNA) of the left breast and the lymph node.

The result were told to me late summer. The news no one ever wants to hear and I never anticipated. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. A Triple Negative (TN) diagnosis affects only 15% of Breast Cancers and is very aggressive. 

After many tests and a full body scan, results came back to show troublesome masses and legions. The scans showed the cancer had spread to my hip and potentially my liver. Two liver biopsies later,  metastasis was confirmed and the cancer had spread.  Adding to our angst and frustration, a brain MRI done a few weeks ago found a 2mm lesion that will be operated on in a few weeks.

The official start of Chemo treatment was Monday , October 31st. I chose Halloween to start because I thought what better day to start my hardcore, guns blazing attack on this evil and kick it in its cancerous A**!!

This is a chronic disease and I am self employed, which sadly means that if I do not work, I do not get paid. With Medical bills, treatments and cost of living taking my every dime, it's been a challenging road to this point. But I feel strong with the love and reinforcement of so many of my friends and family.  I'm humbled by the love and support even now.

Please keep me in your prayers and know that I am a Warrior Goddess and a fighter!  But as strong and independent (some say hardheaded) as I am, I realize I cannot do this alone.
