Gobble Gobble Give

My name is Charles Hassell and I am fundraising for our 4th Annual Gobble Gobble Give event. Last year, we had about 100 volunteers, including 20 kids!
On Thanksgiving Morning (Nov 27th) starting at 9am, we will be putting together 100 meals and 200 clothing and toiletry kits for the homeless in Los Angeles. Afterwards, we will get into cars and deliver these packs to people on the streets in Downtown LA.
The Meal includes:
· Ham or Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Cranberry Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, a Small cup of Gravy, two Bread Rolls w/ butter, a Fruit Cup, an Apple Sauce Cup, an Apple, Two Granola Bars, Two Fruit Snacks, a Slice of Pumpkin Pie w/ Whipped Cream, a Piece of Peppermint Bark, Two Bottles of Water, One Bottle of Vitamin Water, and a Juice Box
The Clothing Kit includes:
· A Stocking Cap, a Pair of Gloves, a Scarf, and a Pair of Socks (all included in a reusable bag)
The Toiletry Kit Includes:
· Sunscreen, Soap, Band-Aids, Moist Facial Towlettes, Chapstick, Shampoo, Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Dental Flossers, Toenail Clippers, Cough Drops, and Q-Tips
And every pack will include a personalized picture, colored by the children of my coworkers, to wish the person a Happy Thanksgiving!
All extra funds will be donated to two organizations:
The Midnight Mission - "The Midnight Mission offers a path to self-sufficiency to men, women and children who have lost everything. Our emergency services, 12-step recovery program, job training, education and work programs offer a compassionate bridge to productive lives. We remove obstacles to self-sufficiency and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to rejoin their communities. Our conviction and commitment to their success define us." http://www.midnightmission.org/
LAMP Community - "We offer immediate housing linked to wraparound health and social services to homeless individuals living with severe mental illness. Most of the people we serve face additional challenges such as drug/alcohol addiction, physical disabilities, HIV/AIDS and other chronic diseases, and a history of incarceration. The centerpiece of our work, supportive housing, is recognized as the best strategy for permanently ending homelessness among people with severe disabilities." http://www.lampcommunity.org/
