Globular's studio POWER-UP..!
Hey...! Thanks for dropping by :)
The basic premise here is that I'm attempting to upgrade my (home) studio so that I can take things to another level with my upcoming album.. I used what funds I came home with from the US to buy materials for DIY room treatment, and that should all be installed in a few days, all going to plan.
However there's a sticking point in the plan, basically, to put it bluntly, it needs some hefty cash.. which I just don't have, and probably won't without a bit of help from you!
I've been working on some big but muddy low-end monitors (geek-speak for studio speakers) for several years, basically because I've never had the oportunity to get my room/studio sounding good enough to justify using anything better. But now that time has come..! With the new acoustic treatment I can finally make the move to get a really nice pair of monitors, and hopefully this should traslate into better mixes, more detailed music, and a whole lot less ear-fatigue when spending hours (days, weeks, months...) in front of them.
So, that's about it - I'd really love to write and mix the new album on something where I can really hear all the detail I need to, but I'll need your help to do it..! x

p.s. for anyone that's interested, It's a throw-up between the Focal CMS65, Adam A7x & Dynaudio BM6 mkiii, which range from about £800 to £1100 a pair.
