Charles Fleet Memorial Service

Donation protected

My dad, Charles Fleet, has been battling some sort of sickness since he was a child. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 15 and it escalated from there. He received a new kidney and pancreas in 2003, but the issues just kept coming.

My father has donated more time and compassion to the community than anyone I know. When I was 11 I cheered for LCPYFL Pop Warner and my dad (who was a single father raising a GIRL) drove me to every practice and stayed with me to be supportive. He eventually wound up being the team "mom" due to his continued support for our team as well as being a coach for the football team (The Jaguars) I was cheering for. He never missed a practice, a game or a competition during my 2 years of cheering. In 7th grade I went on to cheer for the middle school and my dad stayed and coached football for the next several years. I was his only child so he wasn't doing it for his children, he was doing it for other people's children. He worked one on one with so many of the kids and was a dad to the boys that didn't have a good role model and there was one girl who played for him and she really connected with dad and he became like a father to her.
For his entire life he has ALWAYS put others first and has always been there for his friends. He would drop everything to help someone out. He is an amazing father and has done his very best to raise me and I can tell you that without him, I wouldn't be who I am today.
All he has ever wanted to do is work and and about 5 years ago, the doctors stopped clearing him to work. He was devastated. I have never see a man in my life that wanted to work so badly. We take for granted the things in life we can do and gripe about our jobs not realizing there are those out there that would do anything to have the strength to get out of bed, shower, get dressed and walk to their car. This is something that has become a very difficult task for my father. We are asking for your help for a man that has ALWAYS put himself last.

We are asking for your help to pay for his burial. I don't like asking for monetairy help, but we are in need. I have one last request for this amazing man.  I will do what it takes, anything helps. Thank you.

Dad in 1997 before things got really bad.  He LOVED cheering on our team.
