Logan & Caleb's Garden Makeover!

HEAVEN AND EARTH LANDSCAPING SERVICES are giving Logan a Sensory Garden MAKEOVER!

Logan has Digeorge Syndrome!
His symptoms he includes are:
Congenital Heart Defect, Kidney Disease, Hernia, Gastro oesophageal reflux, persistent vomiting, Dysphagia (trouble chewing) Squint Eye (surgery required in a few years) Overlapping Toes, Pointed Ear, Wobble Walking, Weak Muscles, Can't walk long distances, Weak Immune System, Constipation, Non Verbal (just started making sounds), Global development delay (mind frame is half his age) short stature, weight gaining trouble, leg pains. Possible sub-muscous cleft - awaiting ENT referral. All round check ups throughout the year for hearing, hormones, thyroid and immune system etc! When he is older he will need a mental health check as its common to develop psychosis in teenage years. He is under: Great Ormond Street and the local hospital, Development care centre, genetics referral, 22Q clinic referral, cardiology, renal, dietitian, special needs pead, special needs health visitor, speech and language, feeding specialist, eye clinic, endocrine referral, gastro, occupational therapist, Physio, ENT referral, EYS, applying for ECHP plan for a schooling.
Logan has undergone bypass, open heart surgery. He has fought hard to be here today. The family recently moved into their first home with a garden. When they moved in, they realized the garden was not childproof and would need a lot of work doing. On top of having a sick child who need's a lot of care, this would be years progress.

The family moved in just before christmas and soon came to realise the garden was not in the best condition and more so, child proof. Which means on top of looking after a sick child a lot of gardening will need to be done over the years! Logan loves the outdoors and gets confused and sad that he can not go outside most of the time. It would be great for his development, for all those hospital appointments Logan endures throughout his childhood. Heaven and Earth Landscaping decided to take this project on for 2016 to give him a safe and sensory environment for him to enjoy on his doorstep. 

Please if you could help raise enough to get the materials for this wonderful treat, we would be so grateful, We are also looking for garden furniture, toys, refreshments for the volunteers who will be there on the project to make the magic happen.

Logan's Parents Say: 
"Logan favourite thing (aside from Mickey Mouse) hehe. Is being outdoors. At school they have trouble getting him inside. It helps Logan develop in so many ways with his Digeorge Syndrome. He see's the world in a complete different perspective. He is always smiling. He has fought to be alive today, he has been placed on bypass and his chest torn apart it's been the hardest road in my experience of parenting. It hasn't stopped there either, he is under so many specialist, so many tests, he is getting older and is fearing the people in blue (Nurses/Drs) and struggles a lot with his stomach currently. Which were trailing different medications. He is so inspiring. I am so grateful that Logan's getting the one thing he loves the most and that will be right on our doorstep. Everyday will be so much fun for him as we don't really like letting him out at the moment (non childproof) and even a trip out to parks etc can send him blue and sick with colds. This is our first garden, we moved in just before Christmas and today we let him have a little step outside. The smile on his face says it all I don't know if he fully understands what's going on but when he sees the outcome he will never come back in the door lol! We're so excited for him and also for his little brother Caleb who most nights gets distressed because he doesn't understand what's wrong with Logan! He also spends his childhood in hospital waiting rooms! Thank you so much... I don't think you realise how much this means to us. Logan tries to live life as normal as possible and your going to give him the safe environment and freedom for him to play outdoors in."
