Helping Ms. Mulholland

Our beloved English teacher, Ms. Mulholland, has been diagnosed with a rare disease that causes irreversible damage to the spinal cord. Ms. Mulholland is a kind, caring woman who puts her students before herself in many ways. For example, she is currently out on disability but is insisting on helping my classmates and I to perfect our college essays. She is a single mother of two children. The School District of Philadelphia has terminated teachers' contracts, causing them to pay $350 per month for their benefits starting December 2014. This cost in combination with medical bills and running a household on a single teacher's salary has resulted in a great deal of financial and emotional stress for this lovely woman. In order to relieve some of this stress, my classmates and I are working extremely hard to raise money in her benefit. We appreciate every single cent that is donated to our cause. Thank you!
