Re-Open Yoli's Cafe

..   We started our little dream 4 yrs ago. Most restaurants cost over a million dollars to build out. We started with 1% of that. A Historic Home in Downtown Chandler was the perfect setting for our creation of a breakfast and lunch cafe. We were lucky that the spot was previously owned by another restaurant and most things were there for us to start. After 2 months of hard work we opened on Nov. 1st 2010. the very 1st day we had customers.. It was amazing that our neighboring business supported our efforts right away.. Our 1st year was slow and we were just hanging by a thread. We wanted to share our food at Taste of Chandler a Culinary Festival in Downtown Chandler. We served a new dish Luau Pulled Pork with Jalapeño Slaw. To our surprise we were chosen Best Café and Best Overall. We were on the map now more and more folks heard about our little café hidden away in Downtown Chandler. During the next 3 yrs we have overcome many challenges including our roof falling in from a leak, and flood in the kitchen from a water leak, numerous electrical issues and old equipment breaking down. Remember this house was built in 1948.. Every chance we had we replaced old with new equipment to better serve our customers. Throughout these years we became so busy that waits for a table and food was up to an hour. Our wonderful friends and regular customers waited for the Best Breakfast in the Southeast Valley( winner Phx New Times 2013).. Most Recently Our Monte Cristo was voted Best in Phoenix by PHX Magazine... We only wanted to better serve our friends so the decision was made to close for 10 days to repair our kitchen once again from water damage to drywall and add some cooking equipment to speed up our delivery.. During this time we believed we had the right people in place to support our repairs. Many delays have brought it to a halt. During the night after cleaning our main grill a lowlife thief stole the base and burners for it. That theft will cost over 1k to replace. During this time we also made a pledge to pay our employees during our downtime. That now has become a hardship due to not reopening after 10 days. Just like any small business our employees are close to us and we are a small family. We so desperately want to see our friends and their little ones again and share our food. We have renewed faith that within 5 days we can begin to do that. After exhausting 2 times more than we budgeted for repairs due to the things you find when you open up a wall in a 65 yr old house (bad pipes and electrical issues)..We have little to even purchase the supplies needed to restock after being closed.  We are hoping our friends can help us raise $5000 in 5 days…that’s  500 friends @ $10 each the price of a meal at Yoli’s..This money will purchase an new grill and restock our shelves and bring our 8 fantastic employees back to work serving you the Best Breakfast in the Southeast Valley. Any additional funds will be applied towards more improvements to better serve our Friends.. WE love and miss all of you so very much , See ya Soon
