Belle's emergency

Donation protected

On October 10, 2014 in the early evening, my new puppy (4 months old and about 4 pounds)  got into my purse. She removed almost everything and ate caffeine pills. We dont know how many. Originally i thought 1/4 of one, but the doctors believe several were eaten). No emergency vet could be found, so I waited outside the vet clinic. During that time, she began convulsing and woudnt stop. I prayed to God for guidance and had resigned myself to let her go to end her suffering. I held her close through every seizure. It broke my heart. I knew it was my fault; I had not protected her like I should have. When the office opened, I took her in, explained the situation. The office workers called the vet (who was not due in for another hour). The vet coached the workers on giving anti seizure shots and I was sent to another city that had a full vet hospital. She was immediately taken back, where the entire crew began working on her. I gave them my "carecredit" number and told them to do what they had to do but absolutely no suffering. Throughout the next day, they worked on her to stop her seizures and keep her alive. I worked graveyards but stayed viligent, waiting for any news. I received calls every few hours after i left. And with each call came a new balance to the bill. 315.00, then 450.00, then 650.00. Then she had to stay the night... 815.00. The next morning I went to see her.  I wasnt allowed to pick her up but I held her head in my hands, I kissed her cold nose, and I whispered that I was sorry and Im there for her through anything. I went back to work only to be told she still would not be released.. until she ate something. And if nothing was eaten that evening, they would insert a feeding tube.... and she had to stay another night... bill up to 1150.00...They dont know the extent of the damage 15 hours of convulsions had on her body. She is still exhausted, her blood glucose is low, and she wil not eat. But she is alive. When I prayed, I promised to honor whatever decision was made on her life. I was given this gift for a reason and I will honor it. Ive saved every cent Ive made and every dollar I have, but am nowhere close to what the total is now; which is 1200.00; an we are certain that amount will rise until she is released. The West Chester vet hospital is amazing, reasonable in cost, and providing care for the only being (outside of my children) that loves me. I owe her everything... and this was my fault. Im asking for help in her vet bills. Yes, it is my responsibility and yes I have every cent going to her bill. Tonight, after work, I was told my "position" was "eliminated". So now, as of 5 hours ago, I am an unemployed mother of 3 children still in the home (my 3 older have grown and moved. The 3 remaining are 14, 11, and 10). I will be spending everyday searching for a new job, but until then, I dont know what to do. Im asking, through gofund me and God, for a miracle I know. Im asking for help only on her bill. Im huge on paying it forward and have done so many times... asking only that the person simply "pay it forward" to another someday as repayment, and Im certain that is why God granted me a second chance with my Belle. I have no doubt he will be there with me during this as well. Im forever grateful  for any help at all. (the hospital can verify any information you need... Her name is Belle. She came in with a caffeine poisoning, over lethal dose. She is in West Chester Vet Hospital at 7330 liberty way, in ohio. )
