Norman Rockwell Museum needs your support for a historic tour that will travel America’s greatest treasures — Rockwell’s original Four Freedoms paintings — across our country.
The art exhibition Enduring Ideals: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms launches in May 2018 and travels to seven cities over three years. Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII, the exhibition will examine the virtue of freedom as a universal human right, the value of civil and collaborative dialogue, and the celebration of public service.
Millions of people, including thousands of school children, will experience Rockwell's masterpieces, which have rarely left the Norman Rockwell Museum.
We ask you to join us in partnership to help make possible this historic tour.
If you make a contribution between now and June 30, we will add your name to the exclusive, limited-edition Four Freedoms publication that will be produced for the exhibition.
In his 1941 speech to Congress, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt urged our nation to enter WWII to protect four fundamental human rights: Freedom from Fear, Freedom from Want, Freedom of Worship, and Freedom of Speech.
Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms speech inspired a generation of citizens ready to volunteer their efforts; among them were servicemen and women, workers, homemakers, and artists. Norman Rockwell's civic response motivated the Greatest Generation through his indelible Four Freedoms paintings, which represented America’s aspirational hopes and optimism.
Enduring Ideals: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms will feature Rockwell’s original Four Freedoms paintings as well as over 100 other significant works exploring freedom, past and present. 
The exhibition will also feature K-12 educational curriculum, a family guide, virtual reality experiences, a social media campaign, and a juried exhibition of new art by contemporary artists.
