Fortress United's Rehearsal Space

Fortress United is a heavy metal band from Manteca, CA. Over the two years that the band has been together, they have won two local battles of the bands, played countless shows and have been nominated for a Modesto Area Music Award. Each member of the band is either working as many as two jobs to make ends meet or is in high school full-time earning at least a 3.5 GPA. In addition, the band gets together multiple times per week for rehearsal. These are a great bunch of young adults that are just working hard to make their dreams come true.
Typically the band gets together in the garage for practice and are finished by 9pm, and up until recently have never received a complaint. However, one of the neighbors has begun calling the police complaining about the music coming from the house. This person called the police at 4:30 in the afternoon and 6:30 in the evening. At this point the band is so worried about being fined by the city that they have had to move into Mom's living room to rehearse.
While this is working for now, it is not a long term solution. Fortress United needs to convert the garage to a sound proof rehearsal space where they can be free to practice as much as they need without the fear of police stopping by each afternoon.
The cost to do this properly and professionally will be at least $2500. This is too much for the band to come up with on their own while maintaining equipment and other band related expenses. The goal is to have the reheasal studio completed by the end of June. Fortress United will be headed back to the recording studio this year to begin work on their full-length CD and need to utilize the space as soon as possible.
