School Supplies 4 Mexican Students

Donation protected

In the U.S., we often take for granted the value of basic tools such as paper, pencils, and crayons. We're able to buy good quality supplies for absurdly low prices. Not everyone has that luxury. By donating to this campaign, each dollar will make a big difference for the lives of kids who are genuinely grateful for what they have.

My cousin Christian and my friend Tzitziki are primary education teachers in small rural schools in Michoacan, Mexico.

I'm going to Michoacan on June 8th and I will buy as many supplies as I can to take with me, buy educational materials in Mexico and improve their school. I would like to use the opportunity to ask for you to help me fulfill as many kids' needs possible.

SCHOOL #1

Christian teaches in a community outside the city of Morelia called 5 de Mayo. It's a one teacher school attended by 9 students ranging in ages from 6 to 10. The school is a one classroom school made of wood. They mostly need basic school supplies like notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, construction paper, glue/glue sticks, etc.

A hurricane damaged the tin roof of the school.

SCHOOL #2

Tzitziki is a physical education teacher who has 30 students ranging from 6 to 12 years old. She teaches at a rural school called Primary Rural and Federal School Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon. It's about 45 minutes away from the city of Morelia via the road to Patzcuaro.

There are 2 teachers, including herself. Initially, we planned to get her students gym shoes and PE uniforms. We exceeded our financial goal and can afford to build a soccer field!
