Help NYC Student Journalism Program
FIRST TAKE needs your support for scholarships for the students, updated equipment and meals for the teens as we train them for careers in journalism and prepare them for higher education.
This crash course is taken place in the heart of Times Square, Manhattan and is absolutely FREE for qualified high school students. We need help to provide essentials including working high definition cameras and point-and-shoot cameras, tripods, microphones, studio rental for the final broadcast, breakfast and lunch.
Most importantly we want to continue to provide college scholarships for our top students.
This is an extracurricular Saturday activity for driven students and is instructed by dedicated professionals who volunteer their time and talent for the future generation.
Our professional volunteers are committed to helping the future generation of journalists kick off their career.
