Teaching North Korean Refugees

Hello,
My name is Chanmi Lee. I have recently joined a non-political and non-religious humanitarian organization called, Teach North Korean Refugees (TNKR). I will be volunteering as an English tutor for one North Korean refugee. Since this is a volunteer based project, I do not get paid. However, it costs money. I am currently living in Jeonju which is about 3 hour bus ride from Seoul. I will be traveling to Seoul at least two weekends a month. I will also be responsible for finding a place to study such as a study cafe or coffee shop which also costs money. The estimated minimum cost will be approximately $95 each month.
I am also raising money to donate it to TNKR.
TNKR is an amazing organization; they provide North Korean refugees one of the most important skills to survive in South Korea - English! Being able to read, write, and communicate in English is a required skill in very competitive Korean job market as well as schools; it often leads people to more opportunities.

A half of the donated money will help me to cover my expenses while tutoring. The other half will be donated to TNKR.
Please consider helping me to raise this money. Your little help can lead to lighting up one of the darkest places in the world. Who knows! Some North Korean refugees may be able to master English through TNKR program and go out to the world providing us better understanding of North Korea.
