Maurilo Martinez Eye Surgery

The vision is the window to the workings of the world and a key component in watching one's family grow. My uncle Maurilo Martinez, a loving father, provider of all, grandfather, and compassionate individual to all who come into contact with have witnessed his increasing ailment. Diabetes is a devastating disease that affects many people a year, but few are aware of the various conditions that stem from it. Beginning over 13 years ago, he was diagnosed with diabetes. Tragically he developed a cataract in his right eye that led to a blood vessel popping, this October will be a full year since  my uncle started to lose his vision which has left him completely blind. Who would have ever thought diabetes could take something so important from you? Even though this has taken place, we are positive for the future and that we will receive help with his medical bills and most importantly to get his eye surgery done. I pray with everything that we can raise the money to get his eye surgery done as soon as possible, so he will be blessed with the ability to continue seeing what's in his life. If everything goes as expected with the surgery there is a high probability that my uncle will be able to see again. He could watch his grandchildren that love him dearly grow up in front of him, go to the birthday parties of loved ones, watch his daughter graduate from high school, and all the special moments that you don't want to miss out in life. We pray that you will please find it in your heart to help us, for the fact that financially he is unable to afford the surgery on his own. We have not lost faith, and we know that we can help him as we stay strong together. Soon he will be able to function as a member of society, be a father to his children, help love his grandchildren, and be a supporter to others in need; all of it being possible with the help of other kind human beings.
