Greenhouse smashed!! We need help!
Federal Way Community Gardens Foundation
Critical Infrastructure Destroyed!
This destroyed greenhouse used to provide a warm and secure start for more than 3,000 plants per year. Volunteers then moved the starts into the main garden where they transformed into more than 5,000 pounds of fresh organic vegetables and fruits.
In a recent storm, a large tree fell and our greenhouse suffered a direct hit! We are about 60 days away from beginning the 2015 growing season and it begins right here in this greenhouse! We need a slightly larger model this time, The Juliana Green Gardener 1800.
At the Federal Way Community Gardens Foundation we GROW healthy food for children, the elderly and our less fortunate neighbors in Federal Way. We TEACH children, special needs kids and those interested in organic gardening. We GIVE to the community—our harvest, our knowledge and a city of beautiful gardens for everyone to enjoy.
We are accepting donations of any size to help replace the heart and soul of our original garden. Please make a donation today and pass this along to your address book. Together we can bring another year of bountiful harvest to families in need in our city—Federal Way!
