Hello from the Faribault County Fair!
My name is Zach Rinehart, and I am on the board of directors for the Faribault County Fair. Growing up in Faribault County in the small-town community of Kiester, MN, I know first-hand how important our communities are and how important our fair is. That is why I am asking for your help! Together we can make a difference and really show the world that our “Giant Gathering Under the Oaks” is more than just a fair. It is a place to step back in time, to meet with friends, have fun, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Of course you want to know how you will be making a difference with your donation. Below is a glimpse of the many possibilities that your donation will go toward.
We have been around for over 150 years (2017 marks the 157th year) in Blue Earth, Minnesota, and to this day we just love helping families make memories that will last for a lifetime. Being one of the oldest county fairs in the state of Minnesota, we have seen a lot of families have a great time, and we have watched the world grow into what it is today.
That being said, over the years we have kept our admission prices as low as possible so that families of every kind can afford coming to the fair. We wanted to make sure that no matter what the economy did a family would always know that they could afford to spend quality time at the fair. We would love to keep doing that for another 150+ years!
Over the last few years the fair has had damage from storms, and time has done its own wear and tear on the equipment and buildings on the grounds. Money raised here will go help with multiple projects including: Improving bathrooms, landscaping around buildings, replacing out-dated bleachers, updating lighting in buildings, bringing in higher quality entertainment, new paint for buildings, and so much more!
We would love to be able to put money towards these projects to help improve the fair for 2017. With the fair being July 26-29, the funds would have to be in by June 15th in order to get the ball rolling on many of these projects for this year. No worries if you can't help right away, because these projects will be here after the fair is over as well.
The fair is a very important part of our history as well as our future with your help. Making memories for kids of all ages is what we love to do at the fair, and we know that you are the same kind of person too. Whether it is seeing the barnyard animals, experiencing carnival rides and games, seeing a grandstand show, or going through the commercial exhibits we know that there is always something for everyone at the fair, and we know that with your help we can continue to make that a reality.
Your contribution is very important to us. When you make your contribution you can know that every last penny is going towards keeping alive good values, good times, and a place that no matter how old you are, you can always be a kid if you want to be. Not only will we be forever thankful for your contribution, we know that every single person that has and continues to go to the fair will appreciate that you made a difference!
