Chile Mission Trip
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
The Dallas Baptist University’s tennis team is ready to leave for Chile this Friday, October 3rd! There, the team will be serving two middle schools in Santiago and La Serena (the two biggest cities in Chile), with the purpose of sharing with children the hope that is in Jesus Christ.
As I have been preparing for my first mission trip ever(!), issues with my U.S. visa are causing me to take a different and more expensive route back to the United States - which is keeping me from being part of the traveling team. Instead of flying directly into the U.S., as we had initially planned, I will first have to fly into Mexico, renew my visa there, and then come back to the United States. While it is only $733.00 for the change of itinerary, this is money that I do not have.
You might be thinking that I am crazy for attempting to raise this amount in 3 days – Well, maybe you are right :) Here is a line I love from the book Love Does: “Maybe there are times when we think a door has been closed and, instead of misinterpreting the circumstances, God wants us to kick it down.” Please help me to kick that door down. The smallest of your contributions will be infinitely appreciated.
Love,
Diego
