Thanksgiving Meals- 31st Year!

Project Homebound 2015 Celebrates its 31st Anniversary!

A $10 donation assures a Thanksgiving Meal (for one person) and extra food for Families in need. Please consider the idea to Adopt a Family's Meal ($30)! ONLY if you are able.

This upcoming Thanksgiving will mark the 31st Year of tens of thousands of "those in need" (senior citizens, children, moms, dads, and families) having been served over the years, with nearly 100% of ALL donations going directly to the meal baskets and helping some of the most vulnerable of our state.

A large turkey, potatoes, stuffing mix, vegetables, breads and desserts have all been a part of what the Community has done to attempt a WEEK'S worth of groceries to help those who may be struggling just to stay warm  during the Thanksgiving Holiday in the North Country of New Hampshire.

Some years have been very tough economically, but Project Homebound persevered with neighbors helping neighbors, always with an "anonymous process" that helped preseve the integrity of those who might humbly accept Project Homebound with gratitude and genuine thankfulness.

This year (2015) we celebrate 31 years with this "electronic cookie jar" that wasn't available before.

Our ask is Simple---please help us "boost" this wonderful program with a mere $10 (or more if you are able) to boost the Spirits and kitchen tables of those in need.

Hi there! My name is Dan Mitchell and my small Family and I founded Project Homebound in 1984.

It began as a simple way to bring Thanksgiving meals to those who would otherwise "go without" in The North Country of NH.  I managed it for its initial ten years before moving to another part of NH.

It is incredible, amazing, and inspirational that for the last twenty years, Lancaster Area community members like Chris Parker, Jean Oleson, Andrea Curtis and so many others have worked hard year in and year out to make sure that the most vulnerable members of the community are provided a Thanksgiving meal and extra groceries for the week. They work hard. REALLY, Really hard.

Me? I currently manage the largest emergency/ transitional family and single homeless shelter in NH as Director of Operations.

On Project Homebound's 31st Anniversary, it's important to be able to help the Community (hence this small campaign) to celebrate and contribute to the North Country area that has some of the most "salt of the Earth" and genuine people that I've ever met.

Even though I'm now in southern NH working with "the most vulnerable of the vulnerable" homeless, it will be my honor to help pack and deliver the boxes with the Lancaster Area Community members this Holiday Season, at the Lancaster Town Hall. We hope we have lots of food to pack!

The look of seniors, children, and parents who receive these food baskets, is pure joy and gratitude. In this World of Gratitude, it still humbles me to my core and YOU will have your eyes literally "tear up" when you imagine a Family being helped this year, as you sit down for your own Holiday meal.

I GUARANTEE, your own Holiday Meal will taste sweeter this year, with your Donation.

Your generous Gift will do more than you can imagine.

The NH towns of Lancaster, Jefferson, Twin Mountain, Whitefield, Groveton, and Dalton, and the surrounding Vermont towns of Gilman, Lunenburg, and Guildhall are all helped by Project Homebound.

Please consider:

a) Donating right now (any amount +- helps) and/or

b) PLEASE "Share" this link on your own Facebook homepage, or Twitter, or HOWEVER you think might help this cause, and ENCOURAGE your own Family and Friends to do the same.

Thank You so much, for helping me to Help those in need this Holiday. It is appreciated. Truly.

The video link has a 2.5 minute story that begins at the 4:15 mark.

With Peace, Gratitude, and Love,
