Rockys Recovery

PLEASE NOTE: Any funds that we receive that are not used for Rocky's medical bills will be given directly to the family in order to pay for medical bills they will incur for Rocky's aftercare.

The Lancaster County SPCA has the full understanding that our pets are part of our family. Tragedy struck this family today when their house caught on fire. Firefighters acted quickly and ended up rescuing their beloved dog, Rocky, from the home. Please keep in mind, Rocky is a WHITE DOG. He is a senior poodle/Shih Tzu mix. The family was given instructions to rush the Rocky to closest vet. They ended up at our facility, frantic and pleading for help to save their family member. Our staff acted quickly, placing Rocky on oxygen and removing as much debris as possible. Rocky will be transported to the Pet Emergency Clinic later tonight in hopes of finding him the crucial help he needs to survive. Rocky is part of their family and here at the SPCA we are unwilling to let this family go through this struggle without help. They do not have much and have lost everything .He is currently suffering from a severe case of smoke inhalation and at this time, Rocky was surrendered to our shelter and we will be assuming costs to get him treated and reunited with his loved ones.  If you can find it in your heart to help this family, please click the donate button.
