Hello everyone :)
My name is Hannah Mackenzie. I will be doing some voluntary work in Kenya, alongside African Adventures, with children in poverty, helping build up a school and playing with the children. Guildford County School has offered me a great opportunity to go on a trip to Nakuru, Kenya in October 2015. Working with African Adventures, I hope to gain so much experience from working at a school, helping them get closer to the education they really need. It's such a great oppurtunity and one that I can't miss.
Please remember that this isn't a luxury holiday and that I am not going to treat it like a holiday. I am going to learn about the hardships other people face, and hopefully working to improve a child in needs education and life.

While I am in Kenya, I will be helping out looking after the children in playtime, giving them the time and attention they need, but often do not get from home. I will also be building, painting and helping make school class rooms more interesting and beneficial for the children.
I would love your help to raise the money (I need to raise a further £1500) for me to go on this trip. No matter how small or big money, it will help! I am aiming to climb Ben Nevis and/or Snowdon with my two friends, who are also going on the trip. There will be a lots of training needed, but I hope to do this in the next year.
I will also be doing a Quiz Night, cake sales, ice cream sales, helping with parking during Christmas, clothes collections, babysitting, and many other money raising activites to help me achieve my goal.
