Help with John Lee's dental needs

UPDATE: There is a rescue that has agreed to take John Lee!!! We are still going to keep this going to help them with his dental costs, so please share with your friends!!

Hello everyone, my wife and I have a soft spot for special needs animals. She was looking at Facebook yesterday and found a post from some volunteers at the Merced County Animal Shelter in Atwater, California about John Lee.

John Lee is a very sweet dog who has some major dental issues. It appears that all of his teeth are broken. If you've ever broken a tooth, or had a painful dental issue, you can sympathize with him. Even though he's in major pain, he is still gentle and sweet with the volunteers.

The major issue is that the shelter doesn't have the funds to have his teeth removed/repaired, and it is a major barrier to him being adopted. The shelter has already contacted a few rescue groups but they are also unable to help as they aren't nearby.

All donations will go toward John Lee's dental expenses & transporation costs. Any donations over those costs will be split between the Merced County Animal Shelter and a local rescue group here in the Seattle area that we adopted a special needs dog from recently.
