Theo Representing Team GB in Thailand
Donation protected
Our son Theo (known as Spider-Boy) started Thai Boxing at the early age of 5 years old once he’d been given the all-clear from his consultant after being diagnosed at 4 years old with an illness called Perthes Disease. He wanted to follow his dad’s footsteps who represented his country in 1999 competing at the IFMA World Championships in Thailand.
Theo quickly fell in love with the sport and is now an experienced junior Thai boxer who has won many fights over the years including open championships, an international title after competing in Cyprus in May 2019 and just two weeks later winning a British title on his local home show.
Theo won his category at the UKMF trials in London in February 2020 but then the pandemic hit and everything was put on hold. He has been very fortunate to be selected to represent Team GB in the IFMA World Championships in Bangkok at the beginning of December as the youngest member of the Team but as it’s a self-funded trip we are hoping to get as much fundraising as possible to contribute towards the cost and would be grateful for any amount small or large to help make his dreams of representing his country come true.
