Thank Your UCSD ICU Staff Fund
Donation protected
Help us thank the ICU nurses and respiratory therapists at UCSD Health by donating to purchase meals for staff.
UCSD has led the way in research and ECMO therapy for the sickest Covid patients in San Diego. UCSD ICU nurses and respiratory therapists are at the forefront of treating and monitoring patients in the Covid units. They have put their lives and those of their families at risk. Facing a frightening and emotionally draining task, the nurses and respiratory therapists have continued to show up and perform their duties.
Over the past few weeks, these healthcare workers have expertly managed the worst of the pandemic caseload that San Diego has seen over the last 10 months. In March, April and May many businesses and community members extended thanks to ICU staff through donated meals, cards and PPE.
With small businesses now stretched to the limit, we would like to thank the UCSD ICU staff on the community level by asking for individual donations to purchase gifts of meals and assorted thank you items to boost morale among ICU staff members.
$25 purchases 2 meals for ICU staff
$100 purchases 6 meals for ICU staff
San Diego Girl Scouts are creating handmade cards to accompany the meals and items
We will include a list of donors with the cards.
We will be gifting meals and items on three different days during alternate shifts so that all ICU staff will be able to enjoy them.
THREE DAYS OF GRATITUDE FOR OUR ICU STAFF:
Invite ICU staff to dine (dinner#1)
Caring for ICU staff through in-kind gifts (custom cookies, flowers or spa packages)
Understanding and support for ICU Staff (dinner#2)
As the fundraiser closes (Feb 7). We will update donors regarding the delivery of the items to staff.
Thank you, Stephanie and Dr. E. Orestes O'Brien
