Support for Eric & Faith Posthuma

Please help our wonderful friends, Faith & Eric, in their time of need. On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Eric Posthuma went for an evening run and was hit by a car. He had to be Life-Flighted to a hospital to receive emergency care. He suffered multiple broken bones (shoulder, arm, multiple places in his back and leg), an esophageal rupture that required emergency surgery that night, and a severe concussion. He then required a second emergency surgery to do an exploration of his chest due to uncontrolled bleeding of an unknown origin. The bleeding was found and stopped, but he is looking at a long road to recovery.

 

On top of all of the medical needs, Eric and his wife just welcomed their sweet baby boy, Freddy, on February 28th of this year. His wife, Faith, is an at-home mother to Freddy, and with Eric unable to work now and for an extended period, financial support for this family of three is desperately needed. With recent changes in work, it is unclear that health insurance will be able to cover much of the expenses. Life Flights range in cost from $12,000-25,000, not to mention his multiple surgeries and hospital stay all will be very expensive. They could use any financial help they can get to help cover their medical expenses, and to provide for Faith and Freddy’s basic needs, such as food, diapers, and wipes while he is recovering and unable to work.
