We have BIG news! We are adopting a baby!
We have always dreamed of adopting a child, but pictured it being much later in life when we "had everything figured out." After years of trying for a baby, being diagnosed with infertility, undergoing multiple rounds of IVF, and walking through miscarriage, we are turning our hearts to adoption now and are praying for God to move mountains!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000+. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000.00 in order to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We are pinching pennies and working hard to save and earn as much as we can, but we can’t do it alone. We believe that God will bring others along this journey with us that will help us become parents and a forever family. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Whether it’s a donation of $5 or $500, every dollar meets a need on our road to bringing home our baby!
We are officially only waiting for finances at this point. For the first round of payment, we will need about $13,000.00. This payment will help us to be able to submit our family profile book (Aubs already finished this) and go "live" in order for a birth-mom to match with us. Once we are in the waiting pool to be matched, anything can happen. We could be matched quickly-within months or it could take a year+. We expect the situation with COVID and also abortion clinics being closed down to increase the demand for adoptions in 2020.
