Help Cameron Hazzard walk again.

Donation protected
Unfortunately Cameron Hazzard has been severely injured in a car accident occurred in Wisconsin on i94 by a van driving in the wrong direction driving the wrong way in the eastbound lane on the evening of Oct. 3rd.

Cameron Hazzard grew up in Buffalo, MN and graduated from Maple Lake High School in 2015. He now lives in South Haven with his fiancé Makayla and 2 daughters (ages 1 and 5). They recently started their first company together, Innovative Transportation Solutions. On October 3rd, 2021 Cameron was hauling heavy equipment eastbound through Wisconsin on i94. A van traveling westbound in the eastbound lane caused a collision that put Cameron’s truck into the ditch upside down. Hanging in his truck, disoriented and scared, he unclipped his seatbelt and dropped from his seat. After a quick search he found and grabbed his travel companion ‘Luna’, a small Chihuahua, then crawled to safety the best he could with a shattered hip. Once he was a safe distance from his vehicle, he laid in the ditch and waved his phone in the air for almost 15 minutes before someone was able to come to his aid.

Paramedics arrived and brought him to the hospital in Tomah, WI. From there he had to be transferred to the Mayo Clinic in MN where he could receive the best specialized care for his condition at the time.  The doctors set his hip back into the socket then scanned his pelvis to determine the best course of action. It was determined that he was going to need major surgery to remove Bone fragments and repair what was left of his hip socket. It took the surgeon 6-8hrs to complete the procedure. Cameron won't be able to walk for a minimum of 3 months and we are unsure if a full recovery is possible.

The hospital released Cameron from the hospital on October 8th. This last week has been very difficult for his family. Cameron is now in the care of his fiancé Makayla full time and every day activities are almost impossible. He tells me that something as simple as using the bathroom has become an exhausting task. This will also be a challenge for his daughters when roughhousing with dad just isn't an option anymore. Cameron was the sole provider for his family, and with the loss of his commercial truck, trailer, and his physical health, the Hazzard family is going to need all the help they can get while Cameron focuses on his recovery.

Please help Cameron’s family during this difficult time by generously contributing to this fundraiser.
