Hudson Strong Friends,
We want to thank you for the tremendous support you have shown the Schilling's for their son, Hudson. If you don’t know Hudson personally, he’s one of the coolest kids you could ever meet. He is known for his kind heart, easy-going nature, caring spirit, quick wit and his amazing athletic ability.
What started off as an eye irritation, raised some red flags. Cells that were removed from the eye tested positive for lymphoma. After several tests, it has been determined that our super star has been diagnosed with stage 2 Burkitt lymphoma.
This cancer is known to be very fast growing. Hudson will start treatments including chemotherapy at CHOC immediately and will continue for several months. Of course, the family is heartbroken and stressed, but we believe that God has a great plan for Hudson. Many have reached out to see how they can help, some asking how they can financially contribute. We ask for your prayers more than anything, but should you wish to contribute financially, we have set up this page to assist the family with the financial burden.
We are optimistic that Hudson will beat this - but the road ahead will not be easy. Any funds raised through the site will go directly to the costs of insurance deductibles, holistic treatments to limit the side effects of chemo, at home alternative care, food/ meals, comfort items for Hudson’s lengthy hospital stays, hotel stays for the parents during chemo treatments, general financial aid for time off work, tutors for Hudson and any other unexpected expenses that will surely arise.
