Esther Kim was a true champion in every aspect of life. A fierce competitor, a tireless worker, an unstoppable force. This was Esther in taekwondo. She will always be remembered for her gracious act at the 2000 Olympic Trials as proof of just how courageous she was.
But to those who were blessed to know Esther, the real Esther, she was so much more. Her joy was being a sister a daughter, a granddaughter and a true friend. No matter where she was in life, her first priority was making sure her family was taken care of. She was quick to wrap her arms around those she was close to and wanted to mend their hearts even when hers was breaking. A champion in life.
So we come together now to honor Esther in her greatest tribute: to help out her mother and siblings during their time of loss.
100% of all donations will go directly to Esther’s mother and siblings to cover funeral expenses, memorial and lost wages as they sat vigil the past 24 days. As they grieve, bills should be the least of their worries.
To those donors, from a dime to a dollar, every bit helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for following this journey with me, for the prayers and kind words. Most of all, for loving Esther and making sure she knew it daily.
