Danielle Chronister Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Danielle Chronister Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to assist students at MC2STEM High School in Cleveland in their pursuit of college education in chemistry, engineering, or another science-related field.

Danielle Chronister (Wood) passed away on November 3, 2021, after being hit by a truck while walking to school to begin the day with her beloved students. Her death is a devastating loss to her husband Ben, an English Language Arts Teacher at Cleveland High School for Digital Arts (CMSD), to her family, and friends.

Danielle left a lasting impact on every student who crossed her path. She was passionate about teaching chemistry and engineering, and helping students excel and achieve their goals in the classroom and in their personal lives.

Her years as gymnast at Gymnastics World Inc., taught her the importance of dedication and commitment to one’s goals and friendships. Her coaches were her mentors and she incorporated many of the coaching strategies into her style of teaching.

Her love for chemistry started at Strongsville High School and continued through Ashland University and Wright State University, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in science education.

To honor Danielle’s memory and continue her mission of promoting education, we thank you for your donation to the Danielle Chronister Memorial Scholarship Fund.
