TEECH are raising money to support a project in Moldova, Eastern Europe.
The team of 35+ volunteers can not travel to the village of Baccealia in August 2020 as originally planned therefore the charity is looking for donations of support towards the project, so that it can be carried out by locals instead. The village school currently has no indoor toilets, therefore the project will turn an existing classroom and take an element of the hallway, to create a bathroom for the boys and one for the girls. Walls will be moved, new doorways created, sewerage pipes connect along with hot and cold running water. Not only will this provide vital facilities for the children but also provide facilities which allow privacy and hygienic conditions.
The mayor of the village is funding new windows and the cost of bringing sewerage and waste to the new bathrooms, as a local contribution to the project.
TEECH will be fudning the construction and installation of the bathrooms.
