My Dad Needs Dialysis

Dear friends,
My dad is sick. He's kidneys are both failing. The doctors tell us that he may have a few days or month(s) to live if he gets dialysis.
My sister and I arrived on Sunday in Guatemala to support my dad. We've had a few challenges since we arrived. The least of them being that because we are women the doctors and nurses have no respect for us and are being very uncooperative. The worst challenge is that despite the fact that we had sent more than enough financial resources for my dad to be taken care of in the last month his caretakers stole the money and left him alone in the hospital.
At this point my sister (Isabel) and I are in dire need of prayers, encouraging notes and financial support. Our family here in Guatemala has been doing the best they can to give us all of these and the prayers and hugs are plentiful but they themselves are poor. Our families back home including my daughter and wonderful husband have also given up as as much as they can to support us financially and emotionally. So I come to you to ask for your help. If you can give a dollar or two or even five we can get my father through the month. Medical resources are the thing that is causing us the most cost since we have to pay for everything before it can even be administered. For example, if you need a catheter you have to go buy it and bring it to the hospital.
If you are reading this it is probably because I've met you or you run in my circle of friends and acquaintances. Most of you who know me know how difficult it is for me to ask for help. And I wouldn't ask if I didn't need it.

Here is a picture of the hospital in Antigua, the city where my dad is hospitalized. My country and its people are beautiful but clearly a lot work needs to be done here for justice and peace.
