Women & children in Surrey shelters

EVERSAFE RANCH (Soon to be called 'Eversafe Outreach')
(Registered charity with Revenue Canada #825859960RR0001)

Alan, Judy, and their amazing volunteers, currently provide furniture, household items, clothing, and community gatherings- such as free barbecues and thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and gifts to women and children connected to them through:

Atira Women's Resource Society, Surrey Association for Community Living, Metis Family Services, Sources BC, local churches and word of mouth (to name a few).

The two of them and a few volunteers touch over 700 families in Surrey each year.

They are completely non profit, 100% volunteer based, and this is Judy's full-time job.

The families they help are either living in shelters, or transitioning from a shelter into secondary or independent living. They are starting from scratch due to unforeseen circumstances - and need help getting back on their feet.

They currently deliver donated furniture and housewares to families transitioning from shelters 2-3 times a week, as their health permits. This includes delivering everything from couches, beds, pots and pans, dishes, microwaves, to cuttlery and a small basket of food to get started. To women and their children who are starting from scratch with nothing.

They are also in desperate need of volunteers to help deliver furniture and help in the Cloverdale thrift store.

How they started:

Eversafe Ranch started out with Judy and Alan Daser, the founders, holding small barbecues in the North Surrey area to support families in need of a good meal. They provided fun and games for the children, and brought clothing and household items for the families to shop from. The small scale barbecues soon gave way to the increased demand - and the foundation was created.

In 2012, Eversafe Ranch opened a thrift store in the Cloverdale area of Surrey, BC. Through the store, Judy and Alan are able to better support the families in need by either providing the donated items straight to the families, or purchasing the needed items with the store's proceeds.
