Help #BucketsTheDog Get Surgery

UPDATE 2 (4/1/15): Buckets opposite back leg now also has the SAME full CCL tear that he had in the first leg and he has to have surgery to repair it. Luckily this time around we already have all of the recovery equipment, but need to pay for the surgery. The cost of the surgery alone is $2500. We got the bro discount because I guess the office has grown fond of Buckets, and we already paid the $600 for his sedated x-rays and evaluation. His surgery is emergency is scheduled for this coming sunday (4/5/15). I was approved for a credit card for $1000 and I have $500 of savings I can spend with out forgoing paying rent and things of that nature. I'd been saving in case this exact situation happened, but it happened much sooner than I would have imagined. I know I said I was done asking for any help or donations, but my back is against the wall right now. If you all could spare even just a few dollars or just do as little as share this campaign I'd be incredibly grateful. I'm already forever in your debt and INCREDIBLY thankful to you all for helping us the first time and totally understand if you cannot extend yourselves once again. But if you can, I thank you. 


Hello all, 
Let me start by telling you a bit about Buckets. 
He's an 8 year old beagle that I have had since he was 8 weeks old. We went to college together, we moved to NY together, we've faced many adventures and tragedies together. Hes been a loyal and amazing companion to me through all of it. Now it is my turn to be there for him. 


Baby Buckets

Recently Buckets started having issues with his back, right leg. So bad that he often opts to walk only on 3 legs. He is in obvious and constant pain. We found out at the vet that he has a ruptured cruciate ligament. In humans, this is akin to having a torn ACL (very painful.) The options I was given were to have this simple surgery and fix him right up, or wait until his pain is unmanagable and have him put to sleep. The second option is not something I could do to my best friend. Not when I know he has so much life left in him

Today I'm asking you to donate any small amount of money so I can spare him this pain and in the long run, save his life. $1, $5, $10. No amount is too small or insignificant.

- Sedation and reverse sedation
- The surgery itself
- Post surgery recovery medication and apparatuses
- Physical therapy

UPDATE: Buckets condition has worsened. He had not been responding well to his medication any more so we took him to the vet to find that he has gone from having a ruptured to a severed ligament.  We are now in emergency mode and his surgery will be this coming Wednesday (Oct 22) rather than in December. His need has become a lot more urgent. We really need this help. Please do whatever feels right, whether that is donating or just simply sharing this campaign. After Buckets surgery is when the REALLY hard part will start.
