Baby Ethan's Micro Preemie Fund

Please consider helping Ethan and his family in this time of need.   Ethan James was born at 25 weeks due to my daughter developing life threatening HELLP syndrome. This completely came out of left field as my daughter Victoria went to the ER simply experiencing mild upper abdominal pain which seemed treatable with extra strength tylenol.  However within 48hrs she was forced to give birth extremely early due to what started as preeclampsia and quickly escalated to HELLP syndrome. Ethan James was born on 4/5/2016 at just 1 pound 4 oz and 12.5 inches long at St. Lukes Bethlehem Hospital.

Ethan started off very strong in NICU just requiring CPAP but after a few days he had to be put on a ventilator.  After being placed on it doctors noticed some blood coming from his throat which alerted them to do an Echocardiogram.  Unfortunately it shows that he has PDA which they described as a heart murmur.  Because of this blood loss as well as reguar scheduled blood tests, Ethan needed a blood transfusion.  Doctors are not sure whether the bleeding is due to the placement of the ventilator (sometimes it goes in too deep causing irritation etc.) or if it's because of the murmur.  In any event the murmur needs to be addressed soon as X-Rays see liquid/blood accumulating in his lungs.  I pray his murmur will soon be addressed and for him to have a speedy recovery!
