Escaping the tragic aftermath

Donation protected
Hi everyone. We all know the devastation Hurricane Maria has caused in Puerto Rico. One victim of this heartbreaking event is my very own cousin.  She and her family have very little food, water, no gas, electricity, and no communication to the world outside of their community.  They are limited to travel outside of their community due to the amount of gas they have on hand, the un-cleared roads, and the uncertainty of supplies, food and water in the next town over are just some of the obstacles they are facing. Once they get to the town they are unsure that they can get back since the lines can take 4 to 6+ hours to get a few gallons of gas, to take limited funds out of their bank, and food.  Currently their home is uninhabitable due to the flood Hurricane Maria brought upon them and with little to salvage from the aftermath. As a result, my family is forced to stay with my great aunt who is currently in a subsidized apartment for the elderly. My cousin is a Registered Nurse; her husband is a paramedic and their daughter is 12 years old.  They are essentially quarantined in a very small apartment that was intended for one person. My cousin fears that the worse is yet to come due to the unbearable heat, the lack of medical supplies and medication to treat the sick, dwindling food and supplies leading to starvation, and the risk of disease spread by insects and poor living conditions. With little hope of better things to come, they have decided to seek refuge in Milwaukee where they can have some help from relatives. However, they are facing some restrictions from traveling on the next flight out, due to the bank placing with-drawl limitations on bank accounts, and the lack of daily communication.

As a result, I beg of you guys to please donate to the cause or share this post to help them out. These funds will help with airline tickets for the four of them, costs to get an apartment and basic essentials they will need once they get here. Anything and everything is appreciated.
