Kenya Relief- Medical Mission

Recently, I have had a burning desire to embark on a medical missionary trip and I believe that the Holy Spirit has impressed me to be a laborer into His harvest, particularly in Kenya. I divenely came across Kenya Relief which is a non-for-profit ministry that has done amazing things to better the lives of those in Migori, Kenya. The organization is founded upon the legacy of a 16 year old girl who was inspired to sponsor a young Kenyan boy. (Sidenote: this to me is AMAZING! A 16 yr old using their own money to sponsor an African kid?! At 16 pretty sure I was saving up for a Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys poster or something completely unnecessary like that lol.) Unfortunately, she passed at 19 years of age; however, her legacy lives on as her parents founded Kenya Relief, a "faith-based organization that partners with others to make a difference in the world by sharing the love of Jesus Christ through physical, mental, and emotional aid." http://youtu.be/6H1brKeX4zs
I have the opportunity to go to Migori, Kenya, and serve for 10 days this April 2015, with a team of medical professionals. The estimated cost to go is about $3,000. The trip will be funded entirely through donations and MUCH prayer. The cost covers the flight, village entrance/exit fees, ground transportation, medical supplies, medical insurance/immunizations, meals/lodging, etc. Alongside my team, I will help provide healthcare in the Brase Clinic and Vision Center, which includes surgical/post-op care, dental care, HIV/AIDS teaching, lab testing, burn care, etc.
