We are Kelly and Amy Dotson. We have been married for 11 years. Our journey to grow our family has not been easy, an ectopic pregnancy, several rounds of IVF, miscarriages, a foster child that left too soon and a failed adoption. To say we have had a lot of loss is an understatement. Our losses have caused us to love each other more than we could have imagined. Just as we were giving up on adoption from foster care, we received a call for a 2 day old little boy. Alexander is now 2 years old and officially a Dotson! He is truly a joy to love and raise.
We are ready for Alexander to have a little brother or sister. This time we are adopting domestically through Catholic Charities. We chose Catholic Charities because of the level of counseling that they provide for both the expectant parents, children and adoptive families.
In the last 3 months we have updated our FBI clearances, State and local background checks and completed our home study.
We are officially a Home Study approved family, waiting on our match!
Unfortunately, the cost of adoption is expensive. We cannot do this without your help. We need the help of our family and friends to cover the costs of domestic adoption. We began our fundraising 2 years ago, and put it on hold. That money was saved and has been used for fees we have endured so far.
We now have our placement fee and lawyer fees to fundraise for. The placement fee is due when our child is placed in our arms.
