Hello, friends and family!
I am hoping to take a gap year before college which I will spend working, and, if I can afford it, travelling.
I plan to work as an intern at the Farm Sanctuary in California for 2-3 months. This organization rescues and rehabilitates animals from abusive situations, such as factory farms. It is a vegan group, so during this trip I will be dropping all animal products from my diet and lifestyle! For this trip, I need money for the plane ticket, food, and other general expenses and fees. (below are some photos of animals that have been rescued by the Farm Sanctuary).
I would also like to travel internationally for about 2 months. I am 90% sure that I'll be doing a Sea Turtle Conservation Program in Costa Rica through IVHQ. Look here for details: http://www.volunteerhq.org/volunteer-in-costa-rica
Lastly, I want to do something yoga-related for a month or two. There ware several volunteer/ yoga programs in the US where volunteers work for part of the day in exchange for meals and yoga classes (for a small fee of $700 to $1000 per month). Here are some of the programs I'm considering:

Travelling has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I've never left the country, except for Canada once when I was young, and I really want to see the world. I will not be taking a vacation or just laying around; I plan to work hard at whatever job I end up doing. I am trying to save up as much money as possible, but any support would be extremely helpful. Whether it's $10 or $100, anything helps!
