Since Eloise has been with Special Olympics Essex, her life has changed for the better. She now has something to look forward to, and to excel at. In fact in just two years, Eloise has won two gold medals in two national competitions in Glasgow.

One of the aspects that Eloise is most looking forward to is performing in front of a massive crowd. She just wants to make everyone happy. Eloise is proud to represent Special Olympics Great Britain and my country. The news that she had been selected made her cry “happy tears”.
For the athletes, going to the Games is not only about participating in their chosen sport: it’s about meeting athletes from around the world, making new friends, having fun, daring, improving their health and challenging preconceptions about people who have an intellectual disability.
