A Book About School Leadership

When my son Owen was 5 I couldn't find a public kindergarten that offered the same type of child-centered, progressive education that I learned at Bank St College http://bankstreet.edu or that I taught when I worked at P.S. One http://www.psone.org in Santa Monica CA.  I worked together with other parents and educators to help launch a charter school called Our Community School. http://ourcommunityschool.org It started as a small and unstable little place and has blossomed into an awarding winning school that is thriving today. But for the school to succeed I had to overcome my own self-doubt and truly embrace my own leadership potential.  

I have written a book about this amazing, challenging journey from mom to charter school leader and I need your help to finish it. I have been accepted into the Lighthouse Writers Workshop "Book Project" https://lighthousewriters.org/content/book-project  in my new home in Denver CO. This program will give me a writing mentor, writing classes, and meetings with agents to help me take my story from draft to fully realized published book. But I need help coming up with the tuition.
