Maddie and John Peed Medical

This GoFundMe page is for donations for medical expenses that the Peed Family has incurred through their stay at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
On 9/11/2014, Carol, Maddie, Grace, and John Peed were involved in a nearly fatal car accident in Magnolia Springs, AL. Although Carol and Grace’s injuries were minor, John and Maddie acquired life-threatening injuries. It’s a miracle that either one of them are still alive.
Because of their extensive injuries, Maddie (7 years old) and John (5 years old) were lifeflighted to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola, FL, where they remain in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Maddie’s injuries include a bruised lung, extensive bleeding, and a concussion, among other things. John’s injuries were critical and include a skull fracture with brain contusion, broken ribs, and a lacerated spleen. John is also currently on a ventilator to assist with his breathing.
As a result of the major injuries and the extended hospital stays for both of the children, medical expenses are mounting quickly. In addition, a large amount of time will have to be taken off of work for both parents in order to help rehabilitate and care for Maddie and John while they heal from their injuries.
Both Maddie and John are incredible kids. Maddie is such a girlie-girl and is so silly and lovable, you can’t help but smile when you’re around her. John is all boy, but has such a sweet soul that he just draws people to him. They both have incredibly amazing hearts for God and their family.
