Getting Our Feet on the Ground
My name is Jessica, and that little angel behind the microphone is Chloe. She and I just moved down to Southern Georgia and are working hard to make it on our own. She's in kindergarten, and I'm spending her school days job-hunting from Brunswick to Jacksonville and everywhere in between.
We don't have a lot coming in right now, and have had some pretty unfortunate obstacles in the past few months. Our expenses are piling on, and I'm at the point where maxing out my overdraft protection isn't paying the bills anymore.
Here's where you come in. If I can just get myself out of the red, I can almost make ends meet, almost. Once I secure a job, we'll be fine. In the meantime, though, I need to get over this hump.
I have a list of priorities--expenses I must pay immediately, those that need to be paid as soon as possible, and those that I would like to take care of sooner rather than later, but aren't quite as pressing. I've created tiers based on those expenses.
Tier 1--If I make $300, it will be used for car insurance, which is pending cancellation on September 26th.
Tier 2--if I make $500, I will put the additional towards past due car payments
Tier 3--$750. The additional will pay the remaining balance on utilities from our old home.
Tier 4--$1000. Additional will go to our new home utility bills.
Tier 5--Anything above $1000 will be used towards clearing my overdraft balance first. If the amount exceeds that, I will pay additional towards the previous bills and/or our rent.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this. If you do choose to donate, I appreciate it more than you may ever know. I can do this, as long as I can get past this financial black hole. Thank you so, so much!
