Millions of children in the US have had basic music lessons on a plastic recorder. I tour schools performing for children on real quality wood instruments. I have to charge the schools $$ and with budgets so tight many can not afford to have me show children that there are opportunities to go with their learning music. Every bit of tour funding will be used to tour expenses.
Children enjoy seeing and hearing a living composer performing on instruments they are learning. They quickly tire of looking at pictures of dead composers hanging on the wall. Hey, I'm not cute, but I do look better than an old poster.
The tours cost much more than I've been charging at this time. In the past I used funds from sheet music and mp3 subscriptions to help offset expenses for touring. The reward system provides either solo sheet music in pdf format or mp3 files of my compositions. Give a gift with your donation and then get a gift with your reward.
Routes for tours are always subject to scheduling.
Be aware that the only money I make is from my VA Disability Pension, not from the tours -- all tour donations and fees go directly into tour expenses.
