ECO-PERU : PROJECT ONE

Our goal is to create a space where people can:"¨Explore alternative options in building environmentally sound, inexpensive homes, and communal habitats."¨Develop techniques in maintaining a low carbon footprint while meeting the needs of a modern lifestyle.
Our objective is:"¨To design practical, economical and ecological habitats for the various ecosystems that encompasses this great Nation.

Our social contribution is:"¨To provide community outreach by setting initiative programs that can educate communities on various issues their local ecosystem such as: Recycling, Waste management, Planting trees, Seed libraries and Water conservation.
Impact:
This project brings to life concepts in Sustainable Development and teaches people practical knowledge in developing sustainable habitats. Using Permaculture & the Earthship Biotecture philosophy our Organization will demonstrate a viable alternative for the average Peruvian who wishes to modernize but does not want to further jeopardies the natural balance of our planet. Our aspiration is to make Peru the first Self Sustaining, Energy Independent Nation in South America. Creating space where people can all reconnect with mother earth.

Building Materials:
We are committed to developing living spaces and communal habitats that are practical, economical and ecological. While our goal is to primarily use recycled materials. Some components and material needed to accommodate practical needs would have to be either donated or purchased. Materials such as Cement, Straw, Fixtures, Piping, Hardware, Hoses, Cisterns Solar Panels, Batteries, etc.

Tooling and Equipment:
We will need Construction Equipment and Tooling for our workshops and the build that will go on in Feb 2014. This tooling will allow us to arm a build crew which can competently be deployed to different regions of Peru. To assist in building ecological habitats.

Transportation:
We need vehicles which can be used to haul materials and recycled products. We need to purchase components to covert these vehicles to run on waste vegetable oil. We need to transport Industry leading professionals to guide us through our start up and development process in a train the trainer program.

Accommodations:
We would like to support our volunteers and guides by providing housing, healthy meals, a tour of Arequipa and shirts. We feel this is a great way to build up group moral and that is the core of this organization.
