Eva Knee Surgery Fund

Hello everyone!

Quick Update: Eva's surgery is complete! She had her surgery on Feb 10th. It ended up costing a whopping ~$3100 .00CAD. If you or anyone you know can help by donating a few dollars, I will be forever in your debt!

Quick Update: I've lowered to goal as I realize it may be daunting to some. If I can raise $1000 (of the $3100 needed), I will be over the moon with joy! 

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. I am not the kind of person to ask for help and I really wish I didn't have to. My name is Shawna Jiao (formerly Shawna Burton) and I am a 24 years old. I am nobody special, but I am everything to my husband and little dog and they mean the world to me.

My little girl, Eva (2 year old Bichon-Poodle Mix), was diagnosed with patella luxation, aka slipping knee, in her left hind leg in the spring of 2014. At the time the vet told me it was nothing to be concerned about, she has a very mild case and I should just try and limit her jumping. He told me that it is possible that surgery might be needed in a few years (sadly her condition worsened so surgery was needed sooner rather than later). So I did what any pet parent would do, I started saving a few dollars here and there as a surgery fund. Sadly, her condition worsened much faster than predicted and little Eva had to have surgery on February 10th. 

Currently I am selling as much of my stuff as possible to raise/save money for her surgery. I am hoping that I will be able to raise $1000, to help pay for the surgery. I am offering a number of perks that I hope you will like.

About Eva: Eva is a true diva. She loves to be the center of attention and loves her mommy and daddy deeply. Eva always wakes her mommy up with kisses and snuggles. She also loves playing with her grandma’s kitten and her best doggie friend Angel. Eva may be shy at first, but once she gets to know you she will be your friend for life. Eva loves to play fetch and rides in the car, but hates it when the car stops.
