Hello Friends,
There is nothing I truly dislike more than fundraising... Having said that, it is necessary to continue the work God has called us to.
Beacon for Him is a grassroots homeless ministry serving in Long Beach, CA. Over the last 4 years we have been leasing an old church at 439 W Anaheim Street where we provide meal outreach, clean clothing, hygiene items, a library stocked with books & 2 computers to connect with resources, , a pet sanctuary, a sustainable garden, and our hearts. We feel called to go beyond labels, to love the unseen, the broken, & the marginalized.
Our hope is to share the love of Christ and let His healing grace bring true transformation. We believe in providing a beautiful and dignified atmosphere that conveys love and worth before speaking a word. As part of our meal outreach we serve with white tablecloths and fresh flowers on each table. The love in the room in tangible...
Our goal is to create meaningful relationships in our community that bring real and positive change. In doing so we have been blessed to witness incredible tranformations in the lives of those we serve but also in the work God is doing in our own hearts.
We are serving more and more people each week and with the increasing numbers coming through our door we are often struggling to keep up with the needs of our community.
We have now been blessed to set roots down in this community over the last 4 years. We are in awe of Gods provision throughout this entire journey, and how He uses each of us to accomplish His will! We know we are called here to share His great love with these precious people, we humbly ask you to partner with us as we continue to step out in faith and obedience. We can't do it alone, and God never meant us to. I am learning this first hand. We need each other...
